Yesterday Kala and I did the race for the cure. Race for the Cure was Kala's first 5k race, or run with a group of people for that matter. We both had a great time and will likely do some more events in the future like the Eugene Race For The Cure next month. I think we may be able to get a couple more friends in on that one too.

I hadn't run a race in a few years but I felt pretty good. I came in 33rd of 74 in my age division (26-29), 131 out of 364 of all the males, and 180 out of 1085 overall. I'm also pretty pleased with the results. I do like having an event to train for, gets me to run a little further and a little harder than I normally would be running when I'm in "maintenance mode" running.
