I was right. This last paycheck sucked now the fun part. Making it though the month on about $400. So we will see how I'm doing at the end of it...

I updated the quotes page. It's still not super great but I will prolly keep playing with that stuff until i like it. I've got some older pages to update and some newer ones to publish. As for the new one's I've got to decide what/who/how I want them. One of the new pages would be an about page. The trouble with the about page is should it just be about the site? or about me and the site? or me and everyone who helps with the site? or do i do multiple about pages? do i need an about page?

Some of the other intresting things about the new look is its now about 2/3rds the size of the previous versions. The most active time for the site is the 4 am hour (between 4:00am-4:459am). The monthly output of the site has never really gone much over 100MB(.10 GB) per month of an alloted 5000MB(5GB) per month. This last one I'd like to see go up because that means more visitors.

The new page seems to be a mild success. The Quotes page is the biggest draw to the site (via searchs). Somehow I also transfer 3 ish MBs perday which is a lot considering there are not really any pictures to speak of transfered from the site. Maybe I will put some back in there at some point.

The Quotes page still needs updating but thats mostly a matter of fixing up the stylesheet to make it look good and stuff. I hope to tackel that and then call all the main pages all updated to v3 of junknstuff. Then I will prolly redo this one too.

Chris finaly got him self a new digital camera and has been takin pictures of Samantha. Aparently she has troubles with his decorative mini water foutain facinated by it too im sure, but it keeps getting her wet.

12:39pm: I'm watching Clone High on winamp TV. Its some funny shit. Clones of historical figures all going to Highschool together. Joan of Arc, Cleopatra, Gandi, JFK, Abe Lincoln and many many more. It's great funny shit. I think it was on MTV or is on MTV. I dunno I'm watching it online and loving it. I must find more.

I got a call from Chris last night about his new kitten. Apperntly she is Babbs Version 2.0. Which translates to she was tearing around his place running laps around the couch and tring to jump from the chair to the couch (but not quite making it). So she seems to adjusting quite well. When we picked her we heard she was the hyper one but I'd never gotten much of a chance to see it. I saw a little bit of it before we took her up to chris but not much. Shes damn cute, I kinda miss her. good thing we didnt have her for too much longer or I woulda been really attached.

I'm thinking I need to go up to Portland and wonder around for a day or 2 one of these days. Maybe vist Cat and Mina most likely Chris too. Take some pictures just be there again. Something about the vibe of Portland I need to get in my system every so often and now that I'm not up there near as much as I used to be (when cat and I were hooked up). If I'm gonna go up it will have to be sometime in August when Tiffany is out of town. Maybe I can work a camping trip in on a weekend at some point then too.

Strange the pictures from my photoserver load fine from work but like butt from other places. Also I got the pictures of Samantha (Chris' kitten) online. Seriously he is gonna need to get a digital now so he can send me more pictures of her.

This page will prolly be changing soon as well as whats left of the old look pages. I nearly have the home page ready to go its just I have to figure out what to put/say there. Then its the stuff page and that may just go away all together or replaced in some other manner. So since I have like nothing to do here at work I'm gonna go work on those pages.

5 days. until my 365th post. one year full year of posts. kinda strange to think about for me.

So we picked out a kitten for Chris yesterday. Today we get to give her to Chris. I almost want to keep her for my self she's damn cute. Oh well just another reason to vist that shmuck in Portland. Caleb and Samatha don't seem to exactly get along yet which will make it a little easier to give her up to Chris. I will prolly be putting poictures of her up soon, now if i can just figure out why the photoserver is goin so damned slow the last couple of days...

I've made some more progess on the site this weekend. And will make more updates durring the week possibly finishing the site update sometime later this week or next weekend. Maybe longer depeneding on how much of a slacker I'm feeling like. But so far so good.

The photo server seems to be acting a bit funk-ay, not sure why either it is still working though just rather slowly for some of the pages and not others. I'm investigating it but may not be able to do much about it. oh well.

I went to a strange strange concert last night with Tiffany her cousin and her cosin's girl friend. It was the Satin Love Orchristra (damn i wish i could spell) and the type of music you ask. 70s Funk with a little bit of disco. It was pretty fun... Unfortuneatly neither Tiffany or I had our cameras along so there are no pictures of the band in their outragously strange coustumes for the show, at leats i don't think any of them dress that way normaly.

After we left the concert a bit early cause we were a bit hungry and the band was on a break we decided we'd go and find some food we didn't feel too bad about leavin the concert early as it was only 3 bucks a head to get in and well we had defintaly gotten our $3 worth at that point. So we went to gatway mall to check on a couple things (stickers so Tiffany could decorate her 2 new nalgene bottles, and circuit city to see if Tiffany could make her laptop payments in the store rather than having to mail them in.) But while in there I saw one of my favorite childhood snacks/treats/cookies. The chocolate marshmellow cookie, its about 6 inches around with a marsmellow spot in the middle of a choclate frosting on top of a chocolate cookie, the name i had for this cookie when i was a kid was messy cookie. Mmmm damn was it good and not quite as messy but I think i've just mastered well gotten better at least of not getting food all over my face and self when eating. All and all a decent day yesterday.

Made a few minor updates to a few things here and there. Lets see if any one even notices them, And there will be plenty more minor updates to come.

Wen't to Silver Creek Falls yesterday. Hiked around a bit and took a couple of pictures. I noticed that there were as many people carrying digital cameras as we saw people carring normal cameras (not counting one time use cameras, or tiffany and I with our digitals). Kind of intresting/neat to see the transition. Considering I started over 2 years ago with digital and I used to get funny looks from people when I'd be out and about with it.

I've discovered a page I previously though worked doesn't really. So I get to rewrite that this weekend at somepoint. It's the page I use to manage the quotes I noticed a few Type-os and went to fix them and fixed them it said everything updated just fine but it lied. Now I get to figure out how and why and make it better.

I'm really kind of excited about the newish group page. Assuming I can actually get other people to post there and lots of comments and people etc. I've got at least one other person to sign up as an author right and I jutst need more info to do so...

After work Tiffany and I are going to Silvercreek falls to hike around and not be in Salem just sitting around thinking what should we do. So that should provide some entertainment.

10:34am: Ok got that quotes management page fixed up. Also updated the people page to have the new look. So now more of site has the new look than doesn't. But the whole thing will be changed over soon enough. There will be a bit of fixing and tuning to do as i go along but thats to be expected. For a not really planned move its going really smoothly....

Hopefuly by days end I will have a new page made. With any luck it will be the 1st of the pages to sport the new look that will eventualy spread to the rest of the site as the rest of the site gets updated and such. Right now its a matter of working the stylesheet out, which may take a while as I'm still very much learning the ins and outs of style sheets.

Now just to make it though the last half-hour of work. I've done all of 10 ish min of work again, which makes it really hard to sit around for 3 hours. I could be back up to 4 hours a day and really wasting time and money. Maybe I will go back to 4s again to help with the strappedness of my money situation, if they will let me. They know i just sit over here...

3:24pm: Here is the new page. Nothing to special but a start. Also I'm tring to get the Mass Confusion off the ground by getting people interested in it and commenting there. I know its kinda weak right now but thats why I need help, from everyone who is willing. Comments are helpful, authors are helpful, and anyone can do comments and if you want to author there just say so...

I've slowly started on cleaning up and removing some old stuff and creating some new stuff and tring to think of new ideas for junknstuff. As always I'm open to recomendations and feedback, and always looking for someone else to contribute one way or another.

Tiffany just read Neromancer. I'd say shes the 1st girl that I know who has read it I'm sure plenty have read it, I just don't know them. Neromancer being William Gibson's 1st novel that coined the term/word cyberspace and basicaly predicted the internet back in the early 80s.

I think I have fixed the slowness of thie page loading properly.

I've been at work nearly 2 hours and I've done next to nothing.... Something like 5-10 mineuts of actual work. I love getting paid to do nothing but I'd rather get paid to actualy do something, for a longer period of time and have bennefits, vacation and sick time etc...

Recently I was poking around online to see what concerts and such are coming to portland and oregon in general and I saw that Eddie Izzard will be though on the 2 and 3rd of September. I'm thinkin about it. Nothing else good seems to be on its way either. Well nothing that I'd be interested in seeing.

Supposed to be a get to be 95 out today. I think it will be warmer it was already 65 this 7:30 this morning and felt much warmer than it really was. Times like this where I wish I had my self a pool.

Seriously folks. The job market is hideous. Unless of course your a nurse or truck driver, and I'm just recently a regular driver and most definatly not a nurse... I updated the stuff page like i said. it still sucks I may fix it more later after i do some of the other pages.

There is some position for a housing person at a sority for the UO. That could be fun. But quite scary as well. I fear the things that i would see, hear and learn in such a place working with 3 other women is bad enough hearing about menopause and marriage and grandchildren etc... The idea is fun but only for second or 2.

I'm gonna um go do sometihng else now.

Today I am going to work on the stuff page, maybe others too but at least the stuff page. It will most likely end up a shell of what it was as well most of the content on that page is damn old. I will try to put more stuff inthere but no promises.

Sony released another super cool Clie today tobad it costs $700. Its really more of a tiny laptop than anything else. Tobad their cheapest Palm OS 5 Clie is still way out of my price range at $350. I can dream and want and save. Not to mention I still want a powerbook... But I'm figuring on that coming after i get my self a real job. With hours and bennefits and such.

I fully plan on updating some of the pages around here this weekend. Some are quite old and out dated. I know for a while i was going on about a site revamp. but thats still going noplace fast as other stuff keeps coming up and i just don't feel like sitting down to do it sometimes. Someday it may happen though.

Today its lunch with Tiffany's cousin Jeff. And tonight its Dinner with her Parents and Grandparents and another cousin i think.

Yesterday we went to Eugne so Tiffany could do her final review for her Pinhole/Holga photography class and then to Wilsonville to return something she got there last week then back to Salem. Hopefuly that is the last of that kind of down up down travel for a while.

Has anyone ever used Kazza, Morpheous, iMesh or other P2P (peer to peer). Has anyone ever let someone download a file or song from you on such a network? Has anoyone downloaded a song from soneone else on such a network? According to a new bill introduced to congress yesterday. If it passes if you upload another file to such a network or system it will cost you $250,000 and 5 years of your life in prison or jail. Thats right filesharing as a felony if this law (pdf) passes. You can thank Senitors(i think thats what they are) Berman and Conyers. Both of them get half or more than half of their campaign money from the Music and Movie industrys. This info comes to me by way of slashdot and wired.

This kind of crap really bugs me. I really hope this bill stays just a bill and doenst become a law.

And I hate Temp agencys.

I'd rather just stay down in Eugene but I need a job down there 1st. Which may take a while with the Nations Economy in the Toilet, Not to mention the State's Economy, Not to mention Local economys being shit aswell making the job markets supersmall and ferice with competion of bubbely stick girls looking for retail and office type jobs, not to mention Horizon Air positions.

But I get to spend part of the rest of the day with Tiffany. Then sometime after she goes I will prolly go play Ultimate. Its been like a week since I last played I missed it last week cause of another intervew that was on Thrusday...

The summer has been a pretty weak summer. Hardly any broil you to gooo days so far and we are already about halfway done with it. Not to mention I haven't done anything exciting, no camping, no hiking, no swimming, no tree climbing, no sprinkler running, well you get the idea. Hopefuly all that will improve.

Who ever said getting a new job is easyer if you already have one was a big fat stinking lier. I had another interview today at Horzion Air. So now I wait and see if hear from them which is kinda unlikely cause I have no customer service experince and they seemed to have large emphasis on it. But the things in my favor are I'm a boy and the rest with the exception of one other were girls. Mostly those super skinny bubbely types. One of the parts of the job is bagage handeling and I think i could handle bags a little better than these sticklike things.

I'm hungry I may go out and find some food. Or take some pictures. Maybe not.

Here I am back here again. Back at work for the joint partner ship between Chemeketa and the State of Oregon. Sitting here for the last 30ish minuets doing not much. The good news is Chris claims honey will be online this evening at somepoint. Which means I will have my music back and a few other things that I've wanted to access and or use or look at/check etc...

back to my same old job and life in Salem. But I'm still hunting and looking for new work down here in the Eugene area.

Tiffany is off work earlyish today and we may be meeting up with Chris in Salem later today to get him some furniture from Ross. Cause its double discount weekend again and Tiffany gets that double discount cause she is an employee.

No cable tv? no good movies to watch? Nothing good to read? No problem. Just watch some old TV episodes of The Family Guy or the Simpsons on the internet. Or sometimes you can catch a movie. And or listen to some music or talk to some friends or random strangers. There are lots of other reasons the internet is great but im sure we all know about those...

I am enjoying my slightly extended weekend even though i didn't end up with a new job.

Also i removed the movie thingy cause it was getting to be a pain cause my IP for that particular server kept changing and I've forgotten many of the movies i've seen this month. Speaking of movies I saw the Leauge Of Extrodinary Gentelmen yesterday with Tiffany. Pretty good stuff...

Apprenlty the interview wasn't good enough. They said they would be calling people in the evening yesterday or morning today. Morning is quickly turning into noon. I am disapointed but thus is life. I go back to normal work on monday and keep on with my quest for a new job nearer to Tiffany. On the plus side i get a 3 day weekend out of the deal. On the other down side is my next paycheck will suck pretty bad like cause i didn't fill it out for the next few days because i didn't know if i was gonna be there or not and it was due yesterday so I'm gonna be in the area of 12+ hours short on my check. Oh well just more modivation to find a new real job...

I interviewed today. I think it went well. Hard to say really as its not up to me. If i get the job then it went well. If i don't well it wasn't that good then, was it. I should be finding out sometime tomorrow morning sometime. So I try not to sweat it too much until I hear from them.

A strange conisdental thing is that this company is or was part of Symantec in one way or another. Symantec being the other place I am wanting/waiting for some kind of possition down here.

Tomorrow at 2pm I have a job interview at Interact Commerce I'm quite excited and nervous about it. So tomorrow I get to turn on my scocial/interview/personable skills some of you may not belive that I have those but I assure you I do. I just don't exersise them that often as I pretty much hate people. Some of you also may have suspected that I harbored this things or just flat out knew... Now I just have to figure out how to tie a damned tie and what to wear.

I'm not gonna say much else cause I don't have much else to say and I've most likely already said too much.

I'm thinkin' about getting ready for Ultimate and remembered I hadn't yet made a post today. I made a couple of attempts but had nothing good to say. As a matter of fact I still don't. So if anyone feels like joining in any of these days we play feel free, we normaly play Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Waterfront park at 7 and Thursdays at the Capitol Mall at 7. If we aren't at Waterfront for whatever reason (like some stupid festival) we will be at The Capitol...

Oh boy did I have some messed up dreams last night. I remember some of it/them but I remember more of waking up thinking "what in the fuck does that mean?" and "where the hell did that come from?" I think i figured out some of the where, but none or not much of meanings.

Here I am on day 3 with out access to honey and I am really wishin' I did. I'm the only one in the office for the next hour or so and no music available. Maddening I tell you. And I still have a week and some change togo.

For a 3 day weekend it sure went by quick. Not bad by anymeans. It may have seemed I was complaning about my 4th-o-July. But it wasn't too bad. I got to spend with with a couple of my closest friends and relaxed in the evening its just far from what my normal 4th had been in the past. Its just not wasnt that exciting to me this year and I think I can contribute that to being tired that evening and having known what I had instore for that whole day long prior to the 4th.

Last night we finaly got the wireless stuff to work on Tiffany's laptop. If it wasn't one thing broken it was another thing broken. 1st my D-link Wireless card broke on us thus making it impossible to do wireless. 2nd my old D-link access point decided to lock up every other time we looked at it or mentioned it. So after replacing the wireless card once, and still not being able to get it to do anything we took that wireless card back to walmart and went to circuit city and got a combo deal from Microsoft with wireless card and Access Point. Its currently working fantabuloulsly. It took it a little bit to get the "Base Station" working and talking to the rest of the world (internet) but its all working now, woohoo...

Now i need some new friends in salem to hang out with until I get a new job in the Eugene area.

2:40pm: Bad news. Chris wont have honey back up for prolly another week and a half. Now lets see if i can handle it...

Spent most of yesterday moving Chris and yesterday evening fighting with Tiffany's new laptop.

Its a nice laptop its just Windows XP Home blows goats. And Sony made a couple bad choices when they did the value added software for her laptop. They made it so it cant be used unless its the factory installed OS. Just in the case the Factory OS sucks. So it means we have to find other ways to make stuff work and or pay for other things like the dvd playing software... So I am spending today working on that stuff. fun fun... dlink sucks..

The sad part is i didnt see 1 damn firwork, 1 damn firecraker yesterday. I heard a few last night but didnt do anything special. just releaxed and watched a movie with tiffany. I used to spend weeks in anticipation of the 4th and buying fireworks and smashing them up to make them go boom rather than just screech. (dont try that at home kids)...

I showed a guy around work today. That took all of 10min.

Tiffany got a new laptop we have been playing with that..

tomorrow is the 4th and we are moving chris. oh boy.

Got my new Access Point installed yesterday. I was a little suprised to find it wating for me when i go to home from work. It looks much nicer than my pervious POS and fuctions much nicer and better just as I thought it would. I did a couple experiments with it and my old AP and found they do about the same for signal strength. The Older one somtimes just slightly better but it also has 2 anteni poking out of it where as my new one doesn't the only other advantage to my old one is the power cord was longer.

Last night had to be one of the worst games of ulitmate that many of us have playe d in thisyear. And we were trin' damn hard too. Again I didn't manage to walk away injury free, my right thumb is a little fat and I can walk ok and move just fine with the exception of my fat thumb..

Chris went and dug up some CDs that he left at his parents to have me rip them before he moves up to portland. We susupect/hope that it will put us above the 10,000 mark. That is a lotta lotta damn music. Just how we like it. Excessive you say? Nay, simply varity for what ever mood we may be in or suiting to the tastes of many many others as well. I wonder how many weeks I would take to play back every track.

Today a nap is in order. I thought about taking a bit of snooze here at work but instead went and got me some skittles and a Mtn Dew. I should be ok for a while long. at least until i get home.

I've long surpassed the point of not knowing what to do with the rest of the site. I've had some ideas but none too great. Do any of you have sugestions for directions or content. Do any of you want to contribute to the site in a direct manner? or even indirect? A members section?

Oh and I will fix the broken stuff again soon here my IP changed again and I been to busy/lazy to fix it again... Also I want to be sure it stays the same for a little while. too..

Couldn't sleep last night for a damn. So I over slept thismorning by about 40 min to make up for it, unfoutrunatly it wasn't intentional. But fourtuneatly I did make it work on time, well close enough. I think I'm gonna blame the rusty bucket I had around 9pm last night at the Coffee House Cafe I kept me pretty amped and up for about four hours. My caffine tolerance is not what it used to be, which is kind of fun sometimes, but not midweek when I have to be up earlyish.

But I do think I will be going home and camp out in front of the front door waiting Air Borne Express to deliver my access point which will be ariving today despite previous predictions of it not.

Disney, Dreamworks, And HP did the first entirely linux movie. Which is progess for linux and studios alike. It hasn't been unheard of to use a linux rendering farm, but the work still done on high end graphic work stations then sent of to the farm to be rendered. Just thought I'd toss in a little bit more geekery to the post.
