Today i was able to escape by 5:45. So only a half hour of OT today. Wooohoooo... and for somereason I was/am all grins once i got off work. My meeting with my supervisor didn't go so badly. Last week I took the most call on the team and rob saw that (he sits next to me) and called me a super tech. woohoo again.

I'm thinking as my DSL still hasnt showed up and if I have enuogh money in time I may get my self the Sony Ericsson Super Phone, AKA the P800... This will effeticily replace my current phone and Clie. And since my Clie doesn't seem to want to talk to my computer anymore it may be a good thing. Not to mention all the other bells and whistols that it has.

If my dsl isn't hooked up with in a couple more weeks or I don't feel that there has been enough progress I may just go back to cable, shudder.... Well I think its time to go kill some NAZIs in RTCW.

As I have mentioned before I'm now a "closer". This means I get the last of the calls in the Queue after the lines are closed and I help/fix them. I'm not the only closer I'm just one of them. But of course today or tonight rather that gets me another 1.25 hours of Over Time.... Which is fine and dandy when the pay check shows up. But that won't be for a while yet. And hell it sucks ass doing it.

Also tomorrow I get to talk to my supervisor about my customer service skills or lack there of. It turns out one of the customers I had got one of our random surveys and they said they have switched AntiVirus vendors (read that as lost customer to competeitors). So as I was the last contact with them its naturaly my fault... So tomorrow I get to discus that. So we lost one person one stupid sorry bitch of a woman (if my guess as to who it was is right). I hear of people one the phones everyday calling who are switching from competitors to us. Anyways I'm not looking foward to the meeting with my super tomorrrow cause it will most likely throw me off all damn day. Why cause I don't deal well with that kind of thing for some reason. I would do much better with a copy of the survey, a copy of a call or two that i done fuckered up and an email pointing out where i went wrong. Rather than me present and having to explain things and think of ways to tell my supervisor that i messed up and what I can do to fix it and not have it happen again.

Yesterday was long. Today maybe longer from the sheartiredness I am feeling from not sleeping so well last night cause of the caffine that again kept me from sleeping as well as I should/could have. Today I may start on my newish server maybe I will do that tomorrow instead. Saw Chris and his cute cute little Samantha, his kitten that Tifany and I picked out for him a while back...

Chris and I finaly got to go to Mabibu Grand Prix in Beaverton and hall ass in some go carts around a windy track at decently high speeds for gocarts and being only a few inches off the ground. Tiffany Claims I did one of our laps in 56.something seconds which was some of the lower times there that night. Whee.

DSL update: grrrrrrr.

I got some new games from chris to work on until my DSL does show up so I'm gonna go do that now.

Gonna hit salem today and vist my dad, then portland from there and vist Tiffany's friend before she leaves to Belgum then to Chris' for the evening possibly the night... And because of the Chris visitation I will be getting my new server online sometime in the next week or so. And it will go Live to the internet after I get my DAMN DSL!!?

I'm getting impaitent with this DSL. They have 4 bussiness days before I call and start asking question.

Our place has new windows now and is looking pretty good. We still have a few things to get, clean, move, and other wise takecare of/deal with but its pretty nice. Mostly ,well pretty much all, thanks to all of Tiffany's stuff. Again I extend an inivation to anyone who I know or who knows me to gimme a call for directions and information to stop by sometime.

I beat half-life yesterday so I really have nothing to do now to kill time. I'm thinking I will have Chris burn me a couple game CDs to help hold me over until I get my DSL.

I'm gonna go find something productive like to do. Maybe.

Figures. I'm starting to get used to my schedule of 6:00am. We get next weeks scheduals today. I start at 8:15 next week and get off at Whenthereisnooneleftonthephones-oclock. Bastards. Oh well now I can stay up a bit later at night and sleep in a bit later.

Anyways Tiffanis unable to work until she gets somethings worked out with the SS office. Apperntly someone filed something wrong when she got her SS card. The fucked up part of this is that she has had several jobs, credit cards, a couple passports, drivers licences, etc... and Noone caught the error until today. Leave it to the US Govt to do something like this..

I setup Tiffany's laptop as a temporary gateway to the internet. I am posting this from my computer by way of Tiffany's Laptop's dial up connection to Speakeasy. For the soul purpos of downloading my e-mail. There were 191 one messages there and there are still 58 or so to go. All's I got to say is DAMN! I guess that will teach me to not check my email when there is no good connection cause it will take forever....

Anyways Tomorrow is payday which is good. Then Saturday sometime Tiffany and I are gonna head to Portland and or stop trhough Salem to vist my Dad for a bit. The reason for the portland trip is Tiffany has a friend in the army that will be in Belgum for the next hunderd years or so. So we are gonna go vist befor that happens, also we will vist chris and make a hardware swap so I can get my new improved server online one of these days after my damned DSL service gets here....

I've been havin fun with my dvd burner. So far I've just used my RW disc and filled it with Aqua Teen Hunger Force Episodes I'm watching one now on the TV in the living room. Which is kinda fun/cool.

One of these days I really am gonna start working on getting the server(s?) ready for the DSL, once it shows up. Maybe over the weekend. Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow. Definatly someday... most likely soon.

Stage 3 of 8 on my DSL activation is one step closer to being done. New Edge has ordered the 1st stage of loop provisioning for my service with the local telco. Perhaps another step closer by tomorrow or the end of today.

Today I flew through calls. I had a great inbread dumb shit from alabama today. He tried to threaten to sue and I told him we were not liable for what happens to their computer, he said that could be fixed its called congress. I said its in our Licence agreement. He ended up wanting a refund becuase he was too cheap to pay for support when he was too much of a tard to go online and find help on our website. It was pretty funny. That was prolly my worst caller of the day. I did have a couple other good calls today but I won't bore you anymore with work stuff.

Took some pictures thismorning and afternoon on my way to and from work. I've got a few more in my camera that need to be put on a server once I get one up and going with my DSL... One of these days I will get that stuff setup so that once I get the DSL everything will be ready to go....

I'm gonna go do something else now..

The new place is beinging to look and feel like a home. The man/geek/den/office/computer type room is also starting to feel and look more like a habitable space vs the storage area that it previsouly was. Hopefuly I will have more reason to occupy it soon (DSL hookup). As now internet comes through Tiffany's laptop and dialup while sitting on the couch in the living room.

One more aleged day of Over Time at work this week. Which isn't really a bad thing but not nessiarly good. I don't mind staying a halfhour extra and shorting my lunch by another halfhour to get paid more. Oh well....

I didn't sleep much last night. I'm such a caffine light-weight now. I had my self one rusty bucket sometime around 8 or 9 and couldn't sleep for a damn last night. This is even after getting to bed after midnight which nowadays is quite late for me as my normal bed time is about 9. Maybe I will get some more sleep later today or just go to bed at like 8 tonigbht...

I got my self another toy toy last night. Got's my self a new DVD burner. Now I can make backups off all the crap on my computer and make all those TV Episodes that I've downloaded playable on the DVD player. This toy has a lot of potential for fun and usefulness but its one of those toys that I'm not reallly really excited about for some reason. Maybe its because its just a CD burner on Roids and nothing all that new and great about it other than capacity. I do look foward to being able to backup all my photos to one DVD though. And MP3s to a few DVD vs a few dozen CDs.

Hung out with Steve and Stephanie last night. That was nice. I hadn't seen Steve in a over a year. My only regret was the caffine that prevented me from sleeping.

DSL update: none. Still on slow slow dial up. Have potentaly 5-6 more bussiness days of waiting for stage 3 of my DSL order to process. After that Things should move rather quickly.

I thought I posted yesterday. Maybe the dial up broke it or something. Oh well.

So there is a new virus out break as of lastnight/today. And the call Volume at work is way up again, which means we may not be near the end of over time like we previously though we were. It is still supposed to be over on the 23rd but we will just have to wait and see. I my self only actually handeled one removal today but I'm not in the Virus Removal Queue just the product support Queue. But am trained in Virus Removal so if I get a call I'm supposed to take it and remove that virus or whatever. This new one is a nasty little bug. It does a bit of damage and pretends to be from microsoft.

Well I may be going to salem to vist Steve and Stephanie this evening and pick a few things up but that remains to be seen. We will have to wait and see if Stephanie calls me back or not.

I think if I'm good I may be able to get a new phone in a week or 2. The Sony-Ericsson P800 Superduper pimp phone.

The pain of dial up. It's soooo slooooow. It takes for-ever to load this damn page. mostly the images.

I may not be posting regularly until I get my laptop modem going. Right now I'm using Tiffany's and tring to download a driver for my laptop that will do the trick.... my DSL will have higher upload than my cable did and it will be OK for me to run servers. This basicaly translates to the picture server will be a wee bit faster to use.

Well I've suffered enough for now so I'm outa here.

This my be my last post for a week or so. Until I get my DSL and shit all hooked up at the new place. And I won't be getting my DSL until Wednesday at the very earliest because no phone until then. No phone cause Oregon has some stupid fuckin laws that slow down the move of a phone line or some shit like that. It will most likely be after wednesday because I'd still have to get my DSL modem and equipment Which who knows how long that shit would take to get here.

We managed to con chris into coming down saturday evening and hang out. So we may be able to get some work out of him yet. If nothin else at least hang out which is always nice.

Tiffany's place is starting to look awfuly strange with boxes every which place and stuff missing from walls and other places that stuff once was....

Hey. Wow I realized since today is 9/11 that I met Kala just over 2 years ago.
Well she met me and well most of us know the story now anyways...

Well it pretty much offical... Tiffany and I will be moving Saturday. This is a semi exciting process and a scary one aswell. As the task of moving all of Tiffany's stuff will be a bit daunting. Not that I don't have anything its just Tiffany has something like 100 times more stuff than me. And much of it very fragile.

Just got off the phone with Speakeasy. My furture DSL provider (hopefuly) and inorder for them to know if they will be able to provide us with DSL they will have to wait until a phone line active there or some crap like that. Grrr. This means I may have to go some time with *Shutter* dial up... or maybe I will just not get online for a week or so...

Well I should prolly go pretend to be productive and start packing some stuff up.

I done fucked up at work. Nothing to bad just lost controll of the call. They are big on a thing at work called call control. And it basicaly says that we handle that call like its a damn car and we are behind the wheel. And if the customer trys to take the wheel from us smack em. My metaphore is a bit rough there but you get the basic idea of it. So anyways I let a call get away from me and it got a bit messy but its all good. Cause I'm new...

Turns out that I was supposed to be working until 4pm all week. Manditor overtime. But only like a few people on our team knew so only a few people were doing it so I wokerd until 4 today and will until friday and maybe even next week too.

I've been playing halflife again lately on the difficult setting and its been pretty fun. Great game. I'm still very much looking foward to Doom3 and HalfLife2 Those look like they should kick a lotta ass. Chances are I will need another new computer but maybe I will just need a new video card oooh then I could do 3 monitors on my system and see that much more shit... I'm telling you multimonitors is the shit. I have my e-mail on a seperate sceen all to it self and other stuff going on my main screen and if I want i can play movies and cartoons and stuff on the other screen to not take up my main working space. I can't wait to start some new web-dev work with the setup. Which will prolly be a while.

Tuesday is done. Today was much easier than yesterday. Just as long but no where near as many calls waiting on the line. Which can mean the people are less pissed off and easier to deal with which is a good thing. I was amazed when I got 2 calls from Oregon today. That makes it a total of 3 from oregon that I've taken now. I've had a bunch from California, New York, and Florida and a few from everyplace else.

Hopefuly soon I find out if i can infact get my DSL over at the new place. You see they say its available on High Street. But I will be living on High Alley which is half way between High street and Perl Street. But the site doesn't say that I can get it at High Alley. I think this is becuase their program sucks. But I will find out soon now that I've sent an e-mail, now just to wait for the responce. And find out when we are moving so i can make a call and get a) my cable modem hooked up over there or b) my new super DSL where they will let me host websites from my DSL connection. Hopefuly by tomorrow. And we may know when we are moving by the end of today or tomorrow at some point too.

Junknstuff.net is doing more traffic on a daily basis than it has before. Which I think is rather cool. Quotes is still the number one draw to the site. And that just makes me more proud of my Quotes engine. A few of my other pages get semi regular hits as well but no where near the traffic that quotes do. Oh well just more reason to build more content.

Wow today I had an older woman on the phone who couldn't figure out how to delete a damn file. She couldn't manage to single click she coudlnt do much. That call took over an hour. Why do people let old people have computers? My grandparents are smart enough to know they can't work one why aren't anyone elses?

Wow its only monday. It feels like it should be later than that . I suppose thats part of tring to setle in at a new job. And this will be my 1st full week of work on the phones. The job isn't exactly fun but its not the worst I've had either. It does have it ups like the cool people who call in. And the people who dont want to pay and hang up are fine with me too cause I don't have to help them.

We maybe might be moving this weekend to our fabulous 2 bedroom side of a duplex. With hardwood floors, and some carpet. and an actual dining area. And the 2nd bed room will be the computer/toy room which could be fun. I may tell chris to get his ass down here to move cause I've helped him move 3 times now and no help from him yet.

Friday night I got my self another monitor. It not one of those fance LCD flat pannel thingys but it is 19inches (well 18inch viewable) but right now I have 2 monitors hooked up to my system. My older crapier one which I hope to replace with another one of these big silver and black flat screen crt type monitors.
Right now I have my e-mail open on one screen and working on this post in the other screen and nothing overlaping. It is quite fun could be good for page devlopment once I get setup for it again (read: once get my server hooked up again, after we move most likely). By the way does any one know how to get certain applications to automaticaly just show up one then 2nd screen rather than moving them over there?

Tiffany got her self a new entertainment center yesterday. It is frigging HUGE and its pretty damn nice too. Tiffany's dad thinks it's worth at least $500 and she only paid $175 for it. Its big its oak and it has a neak display cabinate thingy on top with little lights that can show off what ever you want to show off in it.

I'm half looking foward to the move but half dreading it too. Also talk about feeling kinda like a grown up. A place a full time job a girl. I'm just missing the car but here in eugene a car isn't completely nessary. There are tons and tons of bike people who pedal their asses every place. Tiffany usualy bikes to and from school when its in and I may invest in a bike somtime after we move but that will depend on how far and bad the walk is from home to work.

I sledged something like 4 computers today while at work. Sledging quite involved process inwhich we trear out a product by its balls. So that the product can be put back in correctly. It is capable of fixing many many problems with our shit as it removes it and then it gets put back on correctly thus fixing any file coruption that happened prior to that. It seems to be a cureall or as well as a last resort to many of our isses but doesn't make it fun at all. Especialy when you have to walk a grandmother though the process so that she can get her "Norton" working again.

I figured it would happen someday from the sounds of things in training but I didnt think it would happen on my 2nd day of the job. Today I had my 1st cryer on the line. She was so frustrated and upset with what was happening with her system and had spent some much time and effort on it she was in tears when she called. or at least very close and did eventaly cry. I did fix the problem and even got her to laugh once and she said it was the 1st time she laughed all day. That was kinda cool. I even have her favorite name for a boy, one of her sons also has my name.

Banks are evil. thankfuly mine knows its evil and reversed the charges that were their fault today that I discoverd when I deposited my check. I discoverd 6 overdraft fees of $32 each putting me in the negative. As it turns out their system didn't release the funds to me when it should have so I got charged out the ass for their fuck up. I called and they put it all back so I'm much happier about that. I was very ready to play the I'm gonna close my account card and actualy do it to show them fuckers I dont need them. But they were helpful and fixed it right away so its alll good.

I also have an invite to a comdey club tomorrow night sometime from a co-worker. Which is kinda cool. Don't know if i will be going or not because well Stephanie, Beth and maybe Steve should be visting tomorrow evening which should be cool.

I actually started working at work today. It wasn't so bad. The 8 hours went by suprisingly quickly which was quite nice. I only had one really irate pissed off caller but she didn't seem to want help anyways. Just to yell at someone cause she was infect with a virus and didnt know how to clean it nor much want to clean it.

But on the down side of work it turns out that junknstuff.net is blocked from work. I cannot access my own damn site from work. That just sucks. No updating or working on junknstuff.net from work anymore. which kinda sucks. Oh well.

I like my brain and how lots of stuff just sticks to it. Its making this job a bit easier. But at the same time a bit more difficult cause I rember some solutions just not entirely or sometimes not the policy around them...

Tomorrow I officaly start on my team. On the phones at the ass crack of dawn. I will be on my way to or at work in about 12 huors from now. This doesn't sound like such a great prospect but it does mean a regular pay check and paying the bills which are both good things. For the 1st few days or hours I will most likely be nervous on the phones but I am sure I will get better, at leat I better if I want to keep this gig.

Saturday Stephanie, Beth and most likely Steve will be visting Tiffany and I here in Eugene. Which should be cool I don't see any of them enough and prolly wont be seeing enough of them any time soon now that I've moved.

The weather here sucks. Its super humid and hazy out from the fires that are ablaze someplace else in oregon. The air is somewhat stagnate and to look off in to the distance you dont see near as far as you normaly would. Its kinda creepy. On my way home from work today it almost felt like dusk but the sun is still high in the sky but being blocked and colors slightly altered by the haze.

To start off I know what shift I'm going to be on at work now. It starts at 6am, thats one of the bad newses... But I will be off work at 3pm, thats a goodnews.

I may be moving again, Thats badnews. Its closer to work thats good news. And I will most likely be signing up with Speakeasy for DSL so I can get away from the Evil that is Comcast. The neat thing about Speakeasy is they actualy let you run servers on their networks and share your internet connection and all sorts of fun shit like that. So my photo server will be 100% legal and I may even purchase additonal domains and host them my self. Hell i'd prolly host a domain for few people too. I'm somewhat exicted about that. Oh and the new place will also most likely be 2 bedrooms wihch means a office/den/geeky type room full of computers and some more guy type stuff whereas Tiffanys apartment is very well femine, not that there is anything wrong with that. We are going to go to look at the place in about a half hour....

Today I'm guessing I'm going to go to stores with Tiffany and look for suitable furniture to hold things like stereo recievers, DVD players, and VCRs. Then if we find something and get it. We will end up rearanging the living room again. Tiffany has been obsessing about it for the last couple days and I doubt we will make it another 2 weeks with out a suitable replacement.

I've started playing half life again. This time on the Difficult setting, so far its difficult. Great game, I can't wait for HL 2 and Doom3.

I think I/we need to go out and take some pictures here soon. I'm also thinking about setting up page where I show pictures that other people took. Hopefuly with some sort of or subject. Like seasons, time, eyes, ears, hands, buildings, etc. I just doubt that many would actualy participate but It could still be fun to do . I'm also thinking about doing a couple custom pages for honey but those would be for me and Chris to pass information/news regarding honey to eachtoher with out e-mail or IMs.
