Busted it.

My watch broke. and I can't get it warrantied because I lost my proof of purchase from like January 2003. The lilttle glow piece in the second hand is now floating around freely in my watch. I may go to a couple jewler type places and watch shops and see what they can do.

So Nathan is outa state for a few days and I get to watch his house. So I'm gonna throw a huge party there and invite all kinds of people that I shouldn't. Make a few hundred copies of the key and pass that out to everyone who shows up.

We went to Spenser's Bute today. A nice short little hike that rewards one with a great view. Tiffany had a bit more trouble with the hike than I but thats ok.

My head hurts.

4:02pm: Took my watch in. 14.95 and 2 weeks to get it fixed. So in 2 weeks I will have my watch back. Hopefuly. I'm thirsty so I'm gonna fix that now and maybe eat another burrito.

5:22pm: Posting now from one those little laptops I have sale. The space bar on this one is a little stiff. Most likely from lack of use. I am still deciding if I want to keep one or not. Anyways I'm gonna watch some more Aqua Teen now.

Vacation Time Brotha.

My vacation has started. So far I've just played gunbound. Someone might be coming to check the laptop(s) out. I'm still debating if i want to keep one for my self. If I do it could be a fun toy/machine to have around. If i don't its a little more money. But I if i do I can sell it later.

Anyways my vacation wont be as fun as it was planned to be many months ago. Because my sorry ass has to find new damn work because the evil companys I work for have decided to move support else where and shut down the faclity that we are in. 1 company exploits the fears and stupidity of people with computers. Not that the software is worthless it can do a lot to keep one out of trouble. But assuming one is computer smart they can most likely not get a virus with out a firewall program and antivirus software. I do.

Vacation getting closer and closer.

Plenty of people seem to be interested in the laptops but few interested enough to come look or buy. No matter they will move one way or another.

1 day until vacation. I'm glad I'm gonna be gone when my supervisor gets back because some of the people near me have been busted fucking around in one form or another they are gonna be in trouble. I wouldn't be supprised if one isn't there when I get back. So next week will actually be the most serious of job hunting. Cause I should have plenty of free time, as long as Tiffany doesn't keep me too busy doing other fun things like going to Crater Lake on Monday.

Tomorrow is Nathans last day as a employee of stream. Lucky bastard. I've been tring to get out but nobody wants me...

ICQuestionmark.

I have an ICQ account from many years back. Last time I updated it I was 17. I had it when I was 15 too maybe even 14. I used it clear up until 2001. Then I stopped using it. Now I wanna just for fun and I cannot for the life of me figure out what my password is for my account. The password recovery won't work because they have my e-mail address from like 4 years ago there... I offer webspace and/or email@junknstuff for whoever gets the password for ICQ #4685456...

I sold one of the laptops today this one to Nathan's Sister via Nathan. I belive he will be taking it to her in Cali while he enjoys his week between jobs. Now to find out about the other people interested or find more people intrested.

I've kinda started playing with my media database some more. Started an Access front end for easy data entry. Because I'm too lazy to do it with html/php.

Got 3 nice compaq laptops for sale now, 1 even has a DVD drive. They all got docking stations. They are all pretty small and hell I want one for my self. Maybe if anything better than my Sony comes around I will see what I can work out. So if you are intersted lemme know. Email me, IM me, Post a comment and I will get back to you.

I've also got beer from Chris fermenting in my closet for the next couple weeks then its time to drink it. And we like beer here. Speaking of beer I've also worked a deal with Mike in Corvallis a exchange for a 12inch mirror ball for 12 beers that he has yet to cookup.

I saw 3 M cars today. M coupe. E36 M3 and E46 M3. Got pics of the e46.

Next week is vactaion.

Ben's Geekery.

Got a new show me from to Dusty. Just as I thought I would never get another one.

I've implemented a homegrown (i did it all by my self) tracking system to see where people are coming from. much testing has yet to be done. Maybe someday it will make pretty pictures too like graphs and stuff. I will spare you the boringass details I'm just proud of my geekery. Yes all the info can be pulled from log files. But the log files are huge. My new system has a couple advanteages. 1) db driven 2) not held at hosting co 3) i can do what i want to it and use access to make graphs n stuff if i wanted too. Gotta give it some time and see how things work out for it. Fine tune and such.

Tomorrow Chris will be in town and have some more goods for me to move.

From time to time.

From time to time my head keeps ending up at a speific period of time. I belive it was a turnning point of some sort and why I keep thinking about it. It was a little less than 4 years ago. The week of September 15th 2000. I was working at Wafer World (aka Mitusbishi Silicon America, or MSA) from like 7:15PM to 7:30ishAM it sucked but it was good money. Anyways I spent the better part of that week wandering Portland with Mike and Mina, who was our guide. I spent far too much money, took a trin to portland, took the max with out paying ,took a bus to portland, I saw skin heads lookin at porn in public, some german kids were oogeling mina, wandered a couple malls, saw moby and hybrid in concert, stayed in a hotel, took a swim, took a train home with mike, had my hopes way up then squashed. I keep finding my self back there that frame. I'm not sure why. I learned alot and Portland has never been the same...

Nice and hot

Played some gunbound with Nathan and Dusty today.

Went to Tiffs parents place to do laundry. While on the way there Eiji (who should get a webpage) and Nathan stoped by and I thin Eiji peed on our place.

Got home to a way way to warm home. So now windows doors all open and fans blowing the hot air out and sucking the cold air in.

I made a script that pulls the most recent temp from noaa. Maybe I will make it do something more. like inegerate it to a webpage of some kind. I really don't like those damn weather stickers offered by most sites to stick on your site and make it look tacky as all hell. I also found a weather command on redhat linus (it may be present in others too) but you type weather and it shows basic info. its kinda cool i also found one can telnet to blackbird.wunderground.com for a textual weather forcasting experince. Thats right I telneted to look at the weather vs looking it up on a webpage.

too hot.

Made a couple updates to site and front page. Links on the rest of the site work a little diffrent. Hover and they show you a little more info before clicking. Nothing major. The site seems to ever so slowly be gorwing new features and flexible like I can call the most recent showmes anyplace like this
Fatal error: Call to undefined function newestshowme() in /hermes/waloraweb089/b2661/moo.junkns/community/Ben/archives/2004_07.php on line 236
