Adam is over again. We are messing around with my internal network configuration. We got it working this time. We tried last week and couldn't get it.
Gonna go campin this weekend. Climbing tomorrow.
I also get paid tomorrow which means I can put gas in my nearly empty car.
I got my self another critcal piece of climbing gear Thursday. A reverso for belaying and perhaps rapelling at somepoint. There is still a lot of gear I'm gonna need before I can start do anything like leading on a sport and much more for a traditonal type climb.
Work was long days all week. But it's weekend now. I'm gonna go see my dad tomorrow and perhaps some of the pictures taken from his recent roadtrip to Central America.
I've still got some work todo on the internal network but things are mostly back online.
Seriously I fixed it my self. They say my account wasn't active. So next time through the damn wizard I chose I already have an account and put in what I had put in for a username and password and it fucking worked!!!! Seems like they coulda had me try that or try that. But they are not trained to try anything other than read. I'm not so sure they can even do that very well.
So now I must reconfigure the rest of my network to break my agreement with my isp. Cause I hate them.
So I got my Cable modem. It works fine. All the lights light up. They blink my computer sees the modem and the connection. Just my ISP has a problem with their registration end of things. So I can get to just one webpage and it says download this crap and run it. So I do. Then it craps out. I call them they say another team/group has to fix it I could take them 24 to 72 hours to do so. So I have cable network to comcast but no internet yet. This only futhers my dislike my ISP. I wish I had another high speed option that was affordable and low latency... Perhaps I will move to get a real ISP again.
Batman Begins was good. Worth the $7.25 for my ticket. Cause apprently it was still no pass which means my free passes didn't work. but that means another free pass else where.
Also my cable modem install will now cost only 14.50. I checked my mail yesterday and it had a comshaft flyer for free install. So I called and got that. Apprently they fucked my other install apoitment so it wasn't going to happen anyways but they are coming between 12 and 4 on Saturday.
I got paid. Hopefuly I can avoid being in the hole until the 31st. Which would be good. Once I can go a few checks with out being in the hole I will consider my self financially stable again. I've actually started to budget. I made my self a crapy little excel sheet to help track expenses... right now I will have about $65 after I pay my bills. That does not include food. But it does include gas.
Also I washed my car for the 1st time since I moved.
Tonight I'm gonna use my free movie tickets from working so hard to see batman begins.
Chris also brought me his 27inch TV to use as he got him self a 40 something inch TV.
I may sign up for lingo VoiceOverIP service next month to have local phone number...
I'm not dead. But I am really broke and over drawn. Moving sucks, rent sucks, overdrats suck. But it's all good, learning experinces and buiding charater you know that kinda crap.
I've got 2 partys to attend Saturday so I will get some free food and have a good time TWICE even.
Now I'm gonna bitch about work. Our customers need to test more. They roll out to all their machines with out testing at all. Just because we are a huge company that writes software that you trust blindly doesn't mean you get to be stupid and practice bad IT policy. Then call up and bitch to me about how our product isn't working right or is doing something they don't like. If the customer had tested you would have known what to do or not to do, instead of calling us in a panic. I'm gonna stop there. I think Nathan and Angi would back me up on this.
Got back from climbing/camping yesterday. It was really cool. Pictures sometime after I get internet back.
My comshaft internet gets installed on the 18th. Then I shall be back in some fassion.
