Didn't end up making it to the Wine and Wings Classic last weekend. Weather wasn't super and none of us wanted to risk getting rained on, which would have happened. Instead we went to catch the afternoon showing of The Hangover, we all liked it.
Yesterday Kala landed her self a job.
Tomorrow we drive to Sacramento for the weekend. Maybe I will take some more photos worth of flickr while on the trip this time... Also Tomorrow is also Kala's birthday.
Saturday afternoon the plan is to head to Wine & Wings Classic. Which should be fun, and a great excuse for me to get the camera out for the first time this month.
Friday Kala and I road tripped it down to Sacramento (477miles) to gather some more of her stuff and visit some friends and break the news that she is moving/has moved to Oregon. We also had a couple trips (40ish Miles Round Trip) out to Davis to meet up with some of her friends. Then Sunday we headed home around 1pm after we got some breakfast and packed up and loaded things up into her car.
We also collected her cat, Coco, and brought her home. Her first act as new cat in the house was to slap my cat across the face and hiss and growl. I'm not sure if she thinks its like prison where the 1st thing you are supposed to do is take out the biggest guy you can or if shes really just that terrified. She did spend most of the evening hanging out with Kala and I and being quite chill but then from time to time she would catch a glimpse of Murray and start the hissing and growling again and Murray would just keep his distance and respond with his high pitched meeew. This morning Coco was in the most popular spots for cats to hide at my place, under the dresser. With any luck Coco and Murray will be friendly soon enough.
What was supposed to be a 3 day weekend with job interviews for Kala has turned into much much more. She drove up and arrived late Thursday night and went to a handful of job interviews on Friday. Then Sunday came and went and then Monday came and went and she stayed. Monday turned to Tuesday and yesterday afternoon she made a few calls to figure if she was going to go back in the evening yesterday or sometime today. We are driving down on Friday to pick some more of her stuff up and will come back on Sunday.
So I have a roommate now. It is also likely we will be moving to a bigger place before the summer is out.
Saturday I headed back out to the barn to help pick up the last of the hay for the season (hopefully). It went pretty well and we realized we likely picked up a few more tons than we thought we had on Thursday, based on the difference of average weight between the bales on Thursday vs Saturday.
Sunday Matt took us back out on the boat and he did some more skiing and Scot did some more wake boarding. I again stayed out as the water was still a bit too cold for me with out having a wetsuit. It was also Matt's dog (Derby) first time to the lake. I got some photos that I will be posting of the evening at the later on.
