Nexus
My new phone. Ordered it yesterday. Arrived today.
It is awesome. Yes some people have reported a couple issues with the touch screen and on screen keyboard and the 3g thing. The 3g thing was an easy fix just go manually select T-mobile. The touch screen and on screen keyboard have been fine so far.
I loved my g1. But this is much much more refined and so much more responsive. I didn't think it a phone like this or the g1 could be this much snappier.
The speech to text for any field but a password field is awesome. The widgets are better. The inclusion of a proper head phone port is fan-freaking-tastic as the g1 lacked exactly that.
The screen is big and pretty, again upping the ante as the g1 had a beautiful, though the g1 had a smaller screen than an iphone I thought it looked better because of the higher pixel density. But the Nexus One ups the rest and size.
In short. I love it.

Two Guns of Light
My second
580EX II arrived over the weekend. Which opens up several more dimensions of lighting possibilities. Adding a light to the mix wasn't as easy as I had expected. One light was fairly easy to shoot with but I think I may have come up with a whole different approach and system for shooting with two. Which is fine, but could be frustrating for a while. I'm thinking I may need to ditch Program mode and ETTL. And switch to something like Shutter Priority or Aperture Priority and adjust the lights manually.
